A close friend of Prince Charles has pulled out all the stops against Netflix The crown.
During a conversation with the Mail on Sunday, a friend of the Prince of Wales called the streaming giant’s entire royal show “grim propaganda” and “highly sophisticated.”
“It’s pretty sinister how Morgan clearly uses light entertainment to drive a very open Republican agenda and people just don’t see it,” they said.
“They were drawn into the early series until they couldn’t see how they’re being handled. It’s very sophisticated propaganda,” they continued.
It comes after UK Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden instructed Netflix to release a note at the start of each episode that the show was ‘fictional’.
Dowden told the Mail on Sunday: “It’s a beautifully produced work of fiction, so like with other TV productions, Netflix should be very clear at first, that’s just it.”
