The controversial show, which chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II, has focused heavily on the relationship between Diana and Charles in its final season.

Charles Spencer, brother of the late Princess Diana, suggested that each episode should begin with a health warning stating “this is not true, but it is based on actual events”.

There has been criticism of the show for depicting Charles continuing his relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles throughout his marriage to Diana, when in fact, she was only rekindled towards the end.

Season four also shows that Lord Mountbatten wrote Prince Charles an extremely personal letter just before he was assassinated by the IRA, which never happened.

Appearing on Mike Graham’s talkRADIO show, Olivia Utley, deputy senior editor of The Sun, warned that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may feel unable to make their views known publicly as a result of their mega Netflix deal.

She argued that this constituted a “massive conflict of interest”.

Referring to Harry, the reporter added: “He got into the hot water.

“He’s made a deal with Netflix so he can’t really say anything.

The couple will produce films, documentaries and children’s shows for the streaming giant.

After the deal was confirmed, Ted Sarandos, director of content at Netflix, said how thrilled the company is with their new partnership.

He said: “Harry and Meghan have inspired millions of people around the world with their authenticity, optimism and leadership.

“We’re incredibly proud that they have chosen Netflix as their creative home – and are excited to tell stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences around the world.”

No member of the royal family has spoken publicly about the show, but high-profile royal sources have suggested it is causing significant concern.

Speaking to The Telegraph about Charles and Camilla, a palace source said: “The new series portrays the Prince and Duchess in a very unflattering light, but at least at the start of reality shows like The Only Way Is Essex, they admit that some scenes were made up. for entertainment.

“It’s lagging behind a Hollywood budget. Audiences shouldn’t be fooled into thinking this is a true representation of what really happened.

However, according to a source, speaking to Vanity Fair, the Duchess of Cornwall enjoyed the show.

They said, “I imagine she will be listening with a glass of red wine to watch it, she saw the previous series.

“She has a wonderful sense of humor and that won’t bother her at all.”

Harry and Meghan caused a stir around the world in January when they announced their intention to step down as senior members of the Royal Family.

Instead, the couple said they aimed to become “financially independent”.
