Two injured after renting red Ferrari on Chicago freeway

Chicago firefighters responded to a vehicle crash on the Lake Shore Drive freeway involving an expensive red Ferrari that was a weekend rental.

The vehicle was driven by a 22-year-old man at around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, according to a report.

They were in the northbound lanes of the road that runs along the Lake Michigan shore when they wiped themselves in a turn, the station reported. The vehicle then turned and caught fire.

The driver escaped with minor injuries, as did his passenger, a 20-year-old man.

Police said they were in good condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Fox 32 Chicago reported.

The two occupants of the Ferrari were not seriously injured.
