PSA: Please wear diapers to your vaccine appointment

Vaccine selfies – vaxxies, if you will – abound as more people are vaccinated against COVID-19 every day. People are anxiously waiting their turn to receive the jab, perhaps so anxious that they forget to think about what is best to wear for the event.

One of the most recent vaxxies to take the tour is that of the French Minister of Health. He wears a typically boring dress shirt, but it’s completely unbuttoned because his bare arm is stuck. He gazes solemnly at a medium distance as he tastefully hides his nipple with the shirt.

Other European officials have gone even further. The vaxxia of the Greek Prime Minister is reminiscent of classical paintings of women with an exposed breast. A UK Member of Parliament opted to go completely topless when he received the photo.

To be clear, showing that much skin is not a requirement to get any of the COVID-19 vaccines. It’s just hard to reach the top of the arm meat – where the vaccine needs to be injected – with a long, tight sleeve in the way.

Health centers generally recommend wearing diapers and short sleeves. You can opt for a nice casual polo shirt, the classic cardigan over a tank top combo, or just remember to wear an undershirt with your button up. You can also lean into an off-the-shoulder baroque look with a sufficiently loose shirt. For the sake of your local health workers, however, I cannot say that I recommend going for the Full Rebirth, Birth of Venus vibrations. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what outfit you choose, as long as you get the shot.
