Apple's sales in the Americas remained stable in the second quarter, but its performance in China continued to suffer.

The company's revenues in China, which include Hong Kong and Taiwan, decreased by 22% year-on-year. This is actually an improvement over the first quarter of fiscal year, when sales in China fell by 27%.

"We're definitely feeling a lot better than it was 90 days ago," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, at the call of the second quarter results.
