Shantisara (IRE) and jockey Flavien Prat win the Jockey Club Oaks Invitational at Belmont Park.



Three fillies who were invited to compete in next Saturday’s Queen Elizabeth II Class 1 Challenge Cup presented by Dixiana tested the Keeneland turf course on Saturday morning at the track in Lexington, Ky.

Coach Chad Brown’s Shantisara (IRE) and Technical Analysis (IRE) duo worked together on five stages in 1: 03.40 and 1: 03.60, respectively. Coach Donnacha O’Brien’s Nicest (IRE) worked 5 stages in 1:06 with jockey Julien Leparoux on board.

Diamond Wow for coach Patrick Biancone was also working on the course qualified as good.

With assistant Andie Biancone on board, Diamond Wow made it through 3 stages in: 39.80 for Wednesday’s JPMorgan Chase Jessamine level 2. Diamond Wow was struck out of grade 1 on Friday Darley Alcibiades after the drawing of post 11.

“I think she would have been competitive yesterday,” Andie Biancone said of Diamond Wow, who pulled the 14 post far away for the Jessamine. “I’m not as concerned with the outdoor draw on turf as I am on dirt.”
