Travis L. Wagner will present “The Algorithm Led Me Here: Using Contemporary LGBTQIA + to Understanding the Future of Queer Archives” at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 18 via Zoom.

The event, sponsored by Illinois State University Studies on women, gender and sexuality, is free and open to the public. RSVP to [email protected] to receive a Zoom link for the conference.

Wagner holds a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of South Carolina (USC) where they earned a doctorate. candidate for the School of Information Sciences. An instructor in the Department of Women and Gender Studies at USC, their main research interests include critical information studies, queer archives, and social rights advocacy in libraries. Their recent publications include articles in Review of referral services and Open Information Science. They are also co-creators of Queer Cola Oral History and Digital Archive.
