Anyone who has purchased varieties of a popular pasta sauce is requested to re-check the label to make sure that it contains plastic fragments.
Mikzan America Inc. announced on Saturday that some varieties of Ragú pasta sauce were subject to voluntary recall by "caution".
"There have been no reports of injuries or complaints from consumers," the company said in a press release.

The sauces were produced from June 4 to 8 and distributed nationally, according to the company. Mizkan America claimed that most of the production was "under its control", but that some of the crates had been shipped to customers.
"Mizkan is working with these retail partners to ensure that these Ragú varieties with the specified case / cap codes are removed from the country's grocery stores," the company said.
The varieties of Ragú pasta sauce were the subject of a voluntary recall, fearing fragments of plastic in the interior.

The sauces involved include:
- Ragú Traditional Old World style (66 oz) with an expiry date of June 4, 2020.
- Ragú Chunky Tomato Garlic and Onion (45 and 66 ounces) with the expiry dates of June 5 and 6, 2020.
- Old Ragú meat (66 oz) dated June 5, 2020.
Products affected by the recall can be identified by a yellow jar cap as well as by the best use according to the dates indicated by the company.
"This voluntary recall is limited to pasta sauces with these specific production codes, which have been distributed throughout the country," said Mizkan. "This code does not apply to other production codes / dates, sizes or varieties of Ragú pasta sauces."

One of the grocery chains affected said that two of the varieties had been sold to its stores.
"Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them," Publix Super Markets said. "These products must be discarded or returned to the place of purchase for a refund."

Mizkan said that customers who purchased the sauces with the capitalization codes can contact the customer service hotline to obtain a replacement coupon and have all the sauces collected for further examination.
