Luke Willson will no longer be here to celebrate the Raiders Center's new contract extension, Rodney Hudson.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Raiders are releasing Willson to 53 players before the deadline of Saturday afternoon.

Willson signed with the Raiders in March after spending last season with the Lions. He had two catches for 10 yards while competing in three of the team's four playoff games this month. That included Thursday night's game, which was a pretty good sign that Willson would not stay, as Oakland did not dress a lot, so many players were expecting to be on the pitch in the first week.

Garafolo added that the Raiders kept three tight ends. Darren Waller, Foster Moreau and Derek Carrier look like the trio that will stay.
