After a hot day, we finally started to see storms pop up after about 3pm in central Georgia.

Tomorrow will be another hot and humid day in the area, but expect more cloud cover and stormy weather.

A Bermuda high pressure area in the Atlantic will push more moisture into the area starting Wednesday.

A few showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the morning, but expect most of our chances of a thunderstorm to occur in the afternoon.

Highs will hit the 90s again tomorrow afternoon.

The risk of afternoon rain and thunderstorms will continue for the remainder of the week.

Storms will be likely again on Friday afternoon, so we’ll be watching this forecast for high school football games closely.

The tropics are also becoming more active with three disturbances that we are watching closely.

None of these appear to be a problem for central Georgia next week, but the one in the Caribbean Sea (Invest 99L) could impact Texas or Louisiana as early as Monday.

Scattered storms will remain around central Georgia for the weekend with no real disruption from heat or humidity.
