After spending the first 10 seasons of his career at Green Bay, Matthews has been Pro Bowler six times and was Pro Football Writers of America's 2010 defensive player of the year. He recorded 83.5 career bags in 143 games with 137 starts.

While Matthews entered the league after a decisive pass, he proved his versatility by also playing linebacker points throughout his career. Matthews has amassed 3.5 sacks, seven tackles for the loss, 12 quarterbacks and a forced fumble.

At the dawn of his 11th season in the NFL, Matthews will turn 33 on May 14.

The Rams must start their off-season program in mid-April.
