Darrell Henderson Jr is yet to peak in a 100-yard game this season, but the feeling is it is happening. He has so far, one game run 100 yards in his career that has come in 2020 against the Bison Tickets when he ran 114 meters.
This season he’s missed a game, but in his first four games he’s run for at least 50 yards each time, over 70 yards once and over 80 yards on the last two outings. His season total is 294 yards and his average is 73.5 yards per game.
Last season, nine NFL rushers passed the 1,000-yard mark. One of them was quarterback Lamar Jackson with 1,005 yards, one of them was Derrick Henry with 2,027 yards.
With the addition of a 17th game added to the schedule, season scorers like the 1,000 yard milestone are a bit easier to hit, but while the entry count will likely increase, it will likely still serve as the one of the main indicators of a productive RB1. . Can Darrell Henderson become a 1,000-yard rusher?
In 17 games, a running back could reach 1,000 yards averaging 59 yards per game. Henderson has missed a game before, so for a sixteen-game streak the required average is 62.5 yards and Hendo’s average is way above that. Once again, the Rams running back is averaging 73.5 yards, putting him on a pace of 1,176 yards in 16 games. At this point, Henderson would be averaging 1,000 yards for 59 yards per game for the remaining 12 games. The first challenge for this to happen would be to stay healthy and active for this race. But if he manages to avoid injury, takes advantage of the positive play off the offensive line, and keeps his production going, he’ll have a good chance of adding a 1,000-yard campaign to his resume.
