Holy Hour of Fatima: Wednesday October 13 at 7 p.m. at Notre-Dame du Scapulaire. The traveling statue of Our Lady of Fatima has a permanent residence at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2609 Tenth Street, Wyandotte. There will be the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, the prayers of the Rosary and Divine Mercy, the Litanies and a reading of the events that occurred on October 13, 1917 in the words of Sister Lucy who witnessed the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima, Portugal.
Christ the King Lutheran Church Donation Station Community Sale: Friday, October 22, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Located at 16700 Pennsylvania Road, Southgate. Furniture, clothing, housewares, tools and appliances. Homemade pastries, concessions, hot dogs. Outdoor tents and raffle every 1/2 hour.
The Episcopal Church of St. Michael and All the Angels, 1325 Champaign, Lincoln Park, will be holding its annual fall / holiday craft fair and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 23. Twenty-five vendors and artisans from Southeast Michigan as well as the women of St. Michaels will be donating items for your family and home, seasonal decorations and gifts for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The fair is on all three levels of the church and is accessible to people with disabilities. For everyone’s safety, masks are recommended and social distancing is encouraged.
Annual Sauerkraut Dinner: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 19109 Craig Street, New Boston, Thursday, November 4, while supplies last. Drive-thru or perform only. Pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, sauce, green beans, squash, roll, slice of apple pie. The cost is $ 12.

Holiday Extravaganza Craft Show Finding Craftsmen: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 13 at Allen Park Presbyterian Church, 7101 Park Ave., Allen Park. Sale of pastries, refreshments. All items must be handcrafted by the craftsman. For more information, call 734-795-6785.
Downriver Focus on Life Event: The annual Focus on Life event benefiting Michigan’s Right to Life and three Downriver affiliates will be held on October 21 at Metro City Church, adjacent to Home Depot on Eureka in Taylor. Visits to the mobile ultrasound unit start at 6 p.m. The program begins at 7 p.m. and includes interviews with representatives from three programs that support mothers, fathers and their children: Embrace Grace, Lincoln Park Crisis Pregnancy Center, and Foster Parenting. The opening speech titled “Embracing a Culture of Life” will be delivered by Kristina Karamo who works and volunteers to help mothers in disadvantaged neighborhoods choose life over abortion. She has served on the Black Leadership Committee of Right o Life of Michigan and is currently a member of the board of directors of the Stanton International branch in Detroit. Sunday School: St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church Youth, 2803 1st Street, Wyandotte, hosts a Sunday School for Kindergarten to Grade 5 children every Sunday at 10 a.m. The youth group meets once a month for a community service project and a Bible lesson for grades 6 through 12. Pantry: Rockwood First Congregational Church, 22600 Mather Street Rockwood, houses a Pantry, which provides personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, lightly used clothing, and some food items. All items are free. The pantry will open from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the last Monday of each month. If this Monday is a public holiday, the pantry will be open the previous Monday. Downstream Women’s Social Group: Join women at Rockwood First Congregational Church, 22600 Mather Street, Thursdays approximately 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a chat and friendship. Some crafts on rings or board games / playing cards. Some arrive late or leave early, some bring a lunch bag and eat together. No contributions; No religious affiliation required. Pantry: Every Thursday, DownRiver Church hosts an emergency pantry for a one-day dietary supplement for individuals and families living in DownRiver communities. The pantry is open every Thursday between 10 a.m. and noon. Participants must bring their driver’s license or state-issued ID to participate.
