6ix9ine began his testimony against Anthony "Harv" Ellison and Aljermiah "Nuke" Mack, two former gang allies, during which he reportedly mentioned Trippie Redd, a former collaborator become rival.
According to reporter Matthew Russell Lee, tweeted live from the court, 6ix9ine claimed that Trippie was formerly a member of a gang.
"Trippie Redd was part of Five Nine Brims, Hernandez testifies," writes Lee, who refers to Tekashi as the government's Daniel Hernandez.
This piece of Lee's report came in the middle of Tekashi's testimony, which has so far recounted the birth of his connection to the Brooklyn-based gang, Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods and more.
For his testimony, which has been the subject of speculation for weeks, the rapper should discuss the fact that he was reportedly kidnapped by Ellison and by the alleged activities of Ellison and Mack's gangs. He should also testify that his role in the Nine Trey gang consisted of "making money for the gang and distributing it to Nine Trey members".
6ix9ine speaks in court, but it is unclear if her family members are present. According to previous reports, the rapper's family did not plan to appear in court because she feared for her life.
