According to AJ Perez from Front Office SportsSan Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane is under investigation for allegations he violated NHL COVID-19 protocols by using a fake vaccination card.
The act is illegal in both Canada and the United States. In the United States, someone who purchases a fake COVID-19 vaccine can be sent to jail for six months and fined up to $ 750,000.
The news comes a week after reports surfaced that Kane was under investigation for violating NHL COVID-19 protocols. Although the league has not made sanctions against the use of fake COVID-19 cards a public topic, the NHL is cracking down on coronavirus violations this season in a big way.
This news comes after NHL shut out Kane allegations by his ex-wife that he was betting on his own games. However, the league is currently investigating allegations of abuse, also made by Anna Kane.
Kane is not currently attending training camp for the Sharks.
