Report: Former military player Patrick Peterson suspended six games for violating PED policy | LSU

Patrick Peterson, former NFL midfielder and halfback Patrick Peterson, was suspended for the first six games of the 2019 season, the source said. Adam Schefter from ESPN.

Schefter reports that Peterson, a member of the Arizona Cardinals, was suspended for violating the league's drug policy.

Peterson played LSU's defenseman and goaltender from 2008 to 2010, before the Cardinals selected him fifth overall in the 2011 repechage.

Peterson still holds an LSU record for return yards in one game. He racked up 257 yards in a kickoff kick in the opening game of the 2010 season against North Carolina, including an 87-yard punt return for a touchdown.

He is tied for the NFL record for kick returns for one season, with four touchdowns in his rookie season in 2011.
