James Harden may be out of the field for the Houston Rockets’ season opener on Wednesday due to a video recently showing the All-Star at a strip club.

By ESPN Tim MacMahon, the Rockets and the NBA league office are working together to revisit the video that has made its way to social media in recent weeks.

“If the video circulating on social media is verified to be recent, it is a violation of the league’s COVID protocols, which would put Harden’s availability for tonight’s opening at risk, “MacMahon wrote.

According to Ben Dubois of Rockets Wire, the video was posted on Tuesday.

Earlier in December, video footage showing Harden in Las Vegas and Atlanta without wearing a mask made its way onto the internet.

By ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski, Harden reported to the Rockets’ training camp on December 8 and underwent COVID-19 testing “in accordance with NBA protocol.”

Under NBA Rules for the 2020-21 season, players violated league COVID-19 protocols “may be subject to a proportionate adjustment to pay for missed games during the period that the player is in quarantine and undergoing testing as a result of his participation in such activity and / or conduct.

The Rockets will host the Oklahoma City Thunder in the team’s season opener on Wednesday.
