Resident Evil Village was supposed to be started with a multiplayer mode, Resident Evil Re: Verse. In April of this year, after a few not great open betas, Capcom has announced that it will be delayed until July. It’s July now, but look around. Nope. Indeed, a few minutes ago, the developers ad it has now slipped at some point in space year 2022.

Delays like this are quite normal for game development in the 2020s, and as has always been a giveaway that was meant to come with this year’s hugely popular. Resident Evil: Village, it would be an idiotic sausage that would get upset too much. What is strange here, however, is the eleventh hour late nature.
They must have known that it wasn’t going to be ready for July, given that they just added at least six more months of development, so why wait until half of the promised month before admitting it’s far from over? to be finished? One explanation could be that for the team working there it was on the right track, but others higher up at Capcom threw their arms / chairs out the window and demanded that it be a anything else.
We don’t know how much Resievil fans are clawing at the walls for a multiplayer mode of Town, but now they have a lot more time to wait.
