Here are the restaurants and other food facilities closed by health inspectors in San Bernardino County between June 28 and July 4, 2019, according to the county's Department of Public Health. If no reopening date is mentioned, the department did not indicate this facility as reopened as of the date of this publication.
4th & Mill, 11260 4th St., Rancho Cucamonga

- Reason for closing: No hot water. The restaurant was still operating, although no sink had the hot water needed to wash hands and wash dishes properly.
Non-closing note inspections
These were facilities that were not closed but had other significant problems during their inspections.
El Potrero, At 26483 Baseline Suite C in the Highlands, it was inspected on July 3 and earned ratings of 84 / B in the kitchen, 88 / B in the meat department and 93 / A in the prepackaged food market . Between the three separately authorized zones, there were four critical violations. In the kitchen, dirt and debris had accumulated inside the ice machine and condensation was dripping in the ice. The kitchen and the meat department were penalized because the surfaces in contact with the food were not cleaned with a sufficiently powerful sanitizer. And the inspector found adulterated foods on the market: two bags of tortillas on a shelf had gone wrong, a dead cricket and two dead fruit flies in a container containing pumpkin seeds in the self-service area to the customer.
Taqueria Zacatecas, at 17014 Smoke Tree Street in Hesperia, was inspected on July 2 in response to a complaint about flies and received a grade of 83 / B with two critical violations. The inspector saw a "moderate amount" of flies in the interior, as well as nearly five dead cockroaches on a glue trap under the soda machine. In addition, red and green sauce, cheese and tomatoes in a preparation refrigerator were not kept at a safe temperature. The inspector asked the staff to stop opening the doors and planned to return in a few days to ensure that flies and cockroaches had been eliminated.
Pho Kobe, At 3:20 pm, the 300A office at Bear Valley Road in Victorville was inspected on July 1 and received a score of 74 / C with three critical infractions. Two employees were seen not washing their hands, the disinfectant was not used to wipe food contact surfaces and many foods in three refrigeration units (plus beef sitting on the slicer) were not at a safe temperature; one of these units was found to be non-functional. The inspector came back to check him the next day and found that it was not cold enough.

Benjarong Thai cuisineat 1001 W. Park Ave. In Redlands, closed since December to repair the damage caused by a fire in the kitchen, the Ministry of Health has agreed to reopen on Monday, July 1. A phone respondent at the restaurant on July 5th announced the opening Monday, July 8, for lunch and dinner.

All county food facilities are inspected regularly to make sure they comply with health codes. An installation loses four points for each critical violation and one to three points for minor violations. A score (90 to 100 points) is considered "generally superior", a grade B (80 to 89) is "generally acceptable" and a grade C (70 to 79) is "generally unacceptable" and requires a follow-up inspection . . An installation will be temporarily closed if it scores less than 70 or if a serious violation can not be corrected immediately.
