Republic of the CavaliersThe beta is now open to the public on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. The beta runs from Wednesday August 25 through Saturday August 28.
Ubisoft introduced the game with a two-minute trailer introducing gamers Republic of the Cavaliers, which looks like a Forza Horizon-style racing festival with X-Games-style biking, snowboarding and wingsuit flying events.
Republic of the Cavaliers launches October 28, 2021 on beta platforms, as well as Google Stadia and Amazon Luna. It was first revealed in September 2020 and originally scheduled for February, but was postponed until this fall in order to provide “the best fun experience for our players,” Ubisoft Annecy said at the time. The studio is also the team behind Soak, the 2016 ski and snowboard video game.
In Republic of the Cavaliers, players will ski, snowboard, bike and ride in “an extreme sports fantasy land” located in virtual versions of US national parks, including Bryce Canyon, Yosemite Valley, Sequoia, Zion and Mammoth Mountain.
