The best of Marshall was on display last weekend as we gathered to celebrate the Sounds of Summer. From the Tiger 5000 5K to the parade to the outdoor concert, the Marshall community has shone – and this is due in no small part to the dedication of so many who help organize this event. To them, I mean, thank you.
Marshall is a special place. In fact, this city has always been an important part of my life and the life of our family. My father, Marvin, started Schwan’s Home Delivery right here in 1952. He packed our family dairy’s ice cream in dry ice and walked around this community, selling 14 gallons on day one.
Yesterday and today our success has been made possible by the support of those at Marshall. That’s why we’re proud to sponsor events like the Sounds of Summer. And most importantly, why we are proud that our National Operations Center is located here – and will be for many years to come. At the heart of our operations are over 100 members of the Marshall team, and I am incredibly grateful for their dedication, passion and commitment to Schwan’s Home Delivery.
The events of the past year have been a difficult time for many. But one thing that has become clear throughout this ordeal is how important community is to the success and well-being of each of us. Once again, thank you to everyone who makes our hometown of Marshall such a special place.
