Rigby students go viral after backpack ban solutions

RIGBY, Idaho (KIFI) – Students at Rigby High School go viral for their solutions to backpack ban Jefferson School District 251 set up last week after a 13-year-old student brought a gun to school, less than 5 months after filming at the same school injured two students and a guard.

The ban went into effect the next day, and students found creative ways to always carry their school supplies.

Strollers, laundry baskets and bins are part of the solutions.

In a TikTok video Posted by Savannah Bagley who has now gone viral, students can be seen using shopping carts, traffic cones, and even a popcorn machine to transport supplies.

The school district did not return any phone calls or emails sent to them for comment.
