Riot Games’ latest agent for the tactical shooter VALUING is on its way.
The developer revealed the agent on Twitter today. Her name is Astra, she is from Ghana and she is a new Controller Agent.
“African futurism was a great inspiration to us when it came to designing Astra themes,” said John “Riot MEMEMEMEME” Goscicki, character producer at Riot. “Once that element was introduced into its development, all of the pieces naturally fell into place.”
Astra joins Brimstone, Omen and Viper in the controller category. It is the first controller added to VALUING since the game’s release. Duelists Raze, Reyna, Yoru and Sentinel Killjoy have been added since the game’s release.
Astra’s capabilities
Before you activate abilities C, Q, and E, you need to hang some of Astra’s stars in the sky with his X ability.
Here are Astra’s capabilities:
VS: Gravity Well
Activate a star with C to form a gravity well. Players in the area are drawn to the center before it explodes, making any players still trapped inside “fragile”.
Q: Nova pulse
Activate a star to detonate a Nova Pulse. The Nova Pulse charges briefly then strikes, committing all players in its area.
E: Nebula
Activate a star to turn it into a nebula (smoke).
F: Dissipate
Use F on a star to dispel it, returning the star to your inventory to be placed in a new location after a delay.
Dissipating briefly forms a false smoke (nebula) at the star’s location before returning.
X: Astral form, cosmic division
Activate with X to enter Astral Form, where you can place stars with your Master Fire Key. Astra will ditch her physical body in favor of a top-to-bottom view of the map. His physical body will be vulnerable in this form.
When Cosmic Divide is charged, use your secondary fire in astral form to start aiming it, then your primary fire to select two locations. An infinite teleportation tunnel connects the two points you select.
