CASPER, Wyo. – Riverfest 2021 raised over $ 40,000 this weekend, according to Platte River Trails Trust Executive Director Angela Emery.
Attendance was counted to over 1,500 at the event, raising funds for the beautification and expansion of the trail system in the Casper area. The next phase of the work is a bridge to connect the Paradise Valley trails on the north side of the river and the Robertson Road trails. Construction is expected to begin in fall 2022.
“In 2019, we had 1,075 attendees and our revenue this year is up about 15% from 2019,” Emery said in an email. The 2020 event was canceled during pandemic closures.

The event brought together nearly 20 breweries as well as the Rotary Club Duck Derby. The new bouldering park, which was paid for by duck derby tickets, was also officially unveiled at the event.
Next year will mark the 30th anniversary of the event, Emery said.
