Prosecutors say that a man from southern California jailed for beating his girlfriend has been accused of killing the missing woman since July.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office said Wednesday that Robert Anthony Camou was facing a murder leader. The charge comes with an allegation of special circumstances relating to the killing of a witness and an allegation that he was on bail when he committed the crime.

It was not immediately clear if the 27-year-old had a lawyer.

A $ 10,000 reward was offered to authorities looking for Amanda Custer, 31 years old.

The investigators believe that Custer was taken against his will by Camou in the common house that they shared in Monrovia.

He was facing domestic violence charges involving Custer since April.
