HThe president of the judiciary, Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., Said he hoped the special advocate Robert Mueller would testify.

But Mueller only wants to testify privately.

"We want him to come and testify," Nadler said in an interview with MSNBC. "Mueller, I think I can say at this point, that he wants to testify privately."

When we insisted that Mueller does not want to speak in public, Nadler replied, "I do not know why."

Nadler later said that he was speculating, but he guessed that Mueller did not want to be part of a political show.

Mueller's long report on his team's investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election was published with the redactions, but congressional Democrats are pushing the Justice Department to total access.

the special council office indicated that Mueller did not want to appear political by testifying.

Nadler officially summoned Mueller to testify "no later than May 23", but postponed the move, probably until June.

Attorney General William Barr said last week, "It's up to Bob to decide if he wants to testify."
