It’s worth a lot of cookies.
A rock recently discovered in Brazil could fetch more than $ 10,000 – because it looks suspiciously like the Cookie Monster from “Sesame Street”, according to reports.
Slit, volcanic rock is made up of blue quartz crystals with spaces that reflect the round white eyes and gaping smile of the iconic cookie-lover character.
Geologist Mike Bowers, who currently owns the unusual agate gemstone, told The Sun he has seen other similar rocks, but that “this is probably the most perfect Cookie Monster.
“It’s rare to find one as well defined as this,” he says.
Bowers posted images of the rock on his Facebook account this month – and said he has since been offered $ 10,000 by five different buyers.
“The prices can be very high,” he told the website.
Agate – a type of quartz found in ancient lava cavities – was recovered from the Rio Grande do Sul region of Brazil in November, Bowers said.
