And on Saturday morning, the 75-foot-tall, 11-ton Norway spruce arrived to take its place in the iconic Manhattan scene, according to CNN affiliate WCBS.
The tree was brought from Oneonta, New York and arrived with a police escort, according to a New York Police Department tweet.

“A lot of people need a lot of hope this year because of the Covid-19, and we were more than honored to donate it. And I hope we will bring joy to some people’s lives. this season, ”the owner of the property came from, Paula Dick, told the station. “I hadn’t realized that a tree that was in my yard not so long ago would bring joy to so many people.”

Health experts have warned the public to maintain precautions against Covid-19 during the holiday season to prevent cases from skyrocketing, as they predict. But the pomp and circumstance of the outward pull has remained largely unchanged from previous years.

Now that the tree has arrived in Manhattan, the staff will spend weeks decorating and tinning the star of the show and on December 2 it will make its debut.
