The Kia Sportage boasts a modernized design, both inside and out. The original design of the fourth generation Sportage was led by Kia's European design studio in Frankfurt, Germany, with the help of the design centers of Namyang, Korea and Irvine, California.

The revised powertrain lineup includes the 2.0-liter, 185-liter EcoDynamics + diesel engine and the new 1.6-liter "U3" diesel engine.

The new 48D EcoDynamics + Light Hybrid Propulsion System is the first technology to be launched as part of the global brand's electrification strategy. Kia is the first manufacturer to offer consumers a full range of Hybrids (HEV), Rechargeable Hybrids (PHEV), Complete Electric (EV) and Soft 48V Hybrids.

Kia intends to launch 16 models with new propulsion systems up to 2025, including five new hybrids, five plug-in hybrids, five electric vehicles and, in 2020, a new electric vehicle with Fuel Cell technology.

The new EcoDynamics + propulsion system is coupled with an all-wheel drive system, providing energy through a six-speed manual transmission or the new eight-speed automatic transmission.

The number of five million Sportage cars produced was reached in March 2018. The Kia Sportage will be marketed in Europe during the third quarter of 2018 with a 7-year warranty of 150,000 kilometers

The Most Achievable Kia Sportage currently costs 18,663 (gross price).
