SAP joins the Lufthansa Innovation Hub and launches the Aviation Blockchain Challenge, a blockchain-based ideas competition, which attempts to uncover cryptomonas technology applications on the travelers' experience, supply chains and flows.
"Blockchain technology can have a major impact in any industry, with its ability to fundamentally change processes and value chains, while industries such as the financial sector have already begun blockchain, big companies in the tourism and mobility sectors are just starting to decentralize their networks, "the company said.
The deadline to submit an application is August 31st. The best selected ideas will be sent to the Lufthansa Jury in October and the winning team will have the opportunity to translate that idea into a pilot software solution. The competition is open to startups, entrepreneurs and developers from around the world who can apply for three categories: the traveler experience, the business operations and the challenges of the suppliers
