Tesla is in talks with authorities in Germany and the Netherlands to build the first European car maker to produce both electric cars and batteries, according to the Wall Street Journal.
According to the publication, which quoted "officials," the electric vehicle manufacturer had preliminary talks with two German states fighting to host the next Gigafactory in Europe
Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in June that he prefers Germany to be the country to build the first Tesla factory in Europe, possibly at the Franco-German border, near the Netherlands.
