In the first "11" of the madrills, Romanian right-defender Alexandru Tirlea, 18, became the first Romanian to evolve Youth League for real. He was fundamentalist and managed to make a pass.
Ţîrlea was once only a reserve in the Youth League this year, with a score of 4 to 1 with CSKA Moscow, but was the only remaining ground player on the bench at the end of the match.
In Bulgaria, he missed the under-19 Elite Tour matches (1-1 with the host country, 3-5 with Greece and 8-0 with Gibraltar) due to injury. He was one of three missing absentees from Dan Oprescu's selection, alongside Jovan Markovic of Craiova and Vladimir Screciu, the Genk defender.
Alexandru Ţîrlea was even the captain of the "tricolors" under 19 years old.
