According to representatives of Buzau Prefecture, the first case of African swine fever in the Beceni area has been confirmed.
"The animal was found rotten about a kilometer from the Mărgăriţi epidemic, sent for long bone analysis and IDSA confirmed African swine fever," said Buzau Prefecture.
The boar was found by a local man who alerted the authorities.
