Movements in recent weeks foreshadow Dragnea's slide from the top of the PSD. The strategy used by the Iohannis group is to focus all open battles against the leader of the PSD for a short time, so as not to have time to challenge and fight back.
To put things to ground, three conditions must be met: lose political support within the PSD, lose the government, close any opportunity for Dragnea to win the battle in the courts by opening a new file. In addition, it is necessary to create a social and media atmosphere conducive to the organization of these strikes against the PSD, namely street demonstrations and press campaigns that strike personally and frontally the adversary.
Against Liviu Dragnea, legal and extra-legal, political and media tools were put in place to get him out of politics. Unlike ancient times, Dragnea enjoys the benefits of modernity: he can not be condemned and killed without judgment (as was the case of Catilina), and Klaus Iohannis is far from the political and persuasive intellect of Cicero, who succeeded, in a few minutes, to convince 600 Romanian senators to blame Catilina, declaring war on this republican enemy.
It is no wonder that Klaus Iohannis, present in Parliament to support the solemn Centennial Speech, begins abruptly with the famous Cyersonian phrase: "Until you have abused our patience, O Dragnea?" The same can be said of Iohannis will not prevent propaganda from knowingly doing the work.
In 63 BC Cicero won for the second time the post of consul (the highest office of the Republic), inventing a conspiracy against the state set up by his candidate candidate, Catilina. Promising the debt relief (debt relief) of the people, he himself declared that he was cashed in debt. Catilina allegedly committed the assassination of the Roman consul and the overthrow of the Republic. Obviously, as a consul, Cicero had every reason and opportunity to produce a very solid record with his counter-candidate. In 2018, Klaus Iohannis, president and candidate for a second term, wants to win the race for the presidency by inventing a conspiracy against the state set up by his opponent, Liviu Dragnea. The reader may be surprised by the parallelism – apparently forced – between the two cases; but that's not it.
A first step is to turn your opponent / candidate candidate into an enemy of the state, without rights or freedoms, even belonging to a citizen. The demonstration effort of the president of the PSD is huge, because it is the most deficient quality that has ever existed in Romania (according to the propaganda). The violation of privacy in the case of the president of the PSD has already become a social habit. Any appeal to the law, possibly in the case of any citizen, becomes, in the case of Dragnea, an act of contempt for the people, even an abuse. In short, Dragnea is anti-Roma and must therefore be treated by state institutions, not as a normal citizen, but as an external enemy. The fact that the leader of the PSD is doing everything in his power to ensure a fair trial is, in the eyes of the propaganda, something unimaginable.
