The Minister of Finance, Eugen Teodorovici, returns with explanations regarding the declaration on access to the labor market in the European states. He says that it is in no way an obstacle or a limitation of the access of Romanians to the European area, but rather of my will as always, to defend and promote the interests of Romanian and Romanian companies.

At the same time, the minister added that his statements highlighted the need to standardize European labor market access legislation and procedures in European countries, in order to guarantee equal access to all citizens of the European Union.

He adds that he has never questioned and will never question the four fundamental freedoms.

These statements were made in the context where Romania is facing a serious crisis of manpower, my intention being to propose solutions that come to our support for all, both from a point of view economic than social.

I have not put, I do not ask or I will NEVER question the four fundamental freedoms on which the European Union is based: free movement of persons, goods, services and capital. But if a problem is not discussed at European level, all the other Member States consider that everything is perfect. As a result, hundreds of thousands of young people have moved from Romania to other states, which has the effect of reducing development opportunities and affecting the economy of our country.

What I have said is the need to standardize at European level the legislation and procedures for access to the labor market in European countries so that to have equal access conditions for all citizens of the European Union.

The access of Romanians to the European space is in no way hindered or limited, but I wish, as it has always been, to defend and promote the interests of Romanian and Romanian companies.

As I have said on other occasions in meetings with European counterparts, as part of the discussions on options to promote European unemployment schemes, such a measure should not only take into account account the problems encountered by some Member States. especially those economically developed, to the detriment of others. In Central and Eastern Europe, for example, unemployment has not been alarming in times of crisis, the main problem being the migration of labor, especially skilled labor to more prosperous Western Europe. This phenomenon leads to major imbalances in the labor market, which affect the growth potential and slow convergence in the European Union. Therefore, a possible macroeconomic stabilization function must take into account in particular the interests of the countries affected by the labor market shortage and MUST have the main objective of financially supporting actions to encourage the return of the labor force. in the countries of origin. .
