Located in the industrial platform of Magurele in the immediate vicinity of Bucharest, the new factory nearly 1,000 square meters and is the fourth unit opened by Elbit Systems since 1993 since entering the Romanian market. Thus, the new unit will increase production, research and development, increase the number of employees and allow the transfer of technological know-how in Romania.

Elbit Systems has participated as a major supplier to major modernization programs of the Romanian Army: For the Air Force (MIG-21 Lancer, PUMA-Socat, IAR-99 Sohim, EW-C130), for land forces (LAROM, Pirahna) naval forces (naval-naval simulators), etc.
