The FX505 and FX705 are designed for endurance racing, with independent radiators and cooling fans that cool the processor and graphics core, a keyboard with durable switches, and patented dustproof tunnels for long-term performance and reliability.
Performance premise
The FX505 and FX705 are based on the eighth-generation Intel Core i7-8750H processors, new six-core and 12-threaded models that can provide the best gaming experience and run multiple threads much faster than previous generations. Both models incorporate NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics accelerators up to GTX1060, capable of supporting high-resolution FHD image mode. Up to 32GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM, 512GB of PCIe SSI storage, and 1TB of FireCuda SSD storage offer high performance on Windows and fast game loading.
Equipped with essential gaming equipment
Both the FX505 and FX705 are equipped with IPS-level NanoEdge displays with refresh rates up to 144 Hz, providing smooth visual effects and clear, blur-free games. Matte panels cover the entire sRGB color spectrum and produce bright colors with wide viewing angles. NanoEdge's design has a significantly thinner chassis than traditional laptops, providing a more appealing visual experience and a smaller overall footprint. The keys have a 1.8mm wide stroke and exclusive ASUS Overstroke technology that raises the trigger point to improve response, giving players a shorter reaction time and a more enjoyable experience. Inspired by desktop keyboards, the keys are curved, the directional keys are isolated, and the spaces defined make it easy to use the function keys. The lighting is available in customizable RGB colors or pulsed red that matches the accents of the carcass.
Sound plays an important role in providing a high quality experience and exciting games. With DTS Headphone: X technology, predefined gaming, movie, music, and sport profiles can create personalized audio experiences for every situation.
Ensuring a stable internet connection with low latency is one thing on the player list. The FX705GM features uncompromising Gigabit Ethernet ports, as well as the latest Intel Wave 2 802.11ac 2×2 Wi-Fi MIMO, which can connect to compatible routers at speeds up to 1.73 Gbps.
Both series of laptops have HDMI ports to connect additional displays, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports and a USB 2.0 port for peripherals.

HyperStrike keypads, on both models, use switches rated at 20 million presses. The reinforced casing with the hexagonal design at the base adds structural rigidity for increased durability.
Superior and durable cooling
Adequate cooling is needed to get everything from a gaming laptop. For this reason, the FX505 and FX705 feature HyperCool systems with independent fans and heaters to cool the processor and the graphics accelerator separately. The design also places the fans directly under the keyboard and helps eliminate heat, keeping the keyboard cool and comfortable during extended gaming sessions. The trapezoidal grids allow more air to be vented from the back, improving cooling performance by 25% over other solutions.
Cooling performance can be altered over time by the accumulation of dust and particles that block air leakage in ASUS patented dustproof tunnels, thus helping to guide dust and particles into separating the ducts to evacuate from the system by keeping the slats clean to maintain long-term performance.

ASUS TUF Gaming FX505 is already available on the local market in different configurations, at prices ranging from approximately. 4000 lei (VAT included). The FX705 will arrive in Romania in December, from approx. 4250 lei (VAT included).
