The proposals for the new city uniforms of ground and air forces, created by designer Alexandru Ciucu and inspired by French, Italian or American armies, were presented Tuesday at the National Military Circle.
Defense Minister Gabriel Leş also attended the event by congratulating designer Alexandru Ciucu and claiming that he felt discriminated against because the new outfits were not for the belly.
"I'm not sorry to have come here tonight, but I feel a little discriminated, all the jackets have been put on without a stomach and I think we need to work a little longer here," said Les, according to agerpres.ro.

At the end of the presentation, the Chief of the Defense Staff, General Nicolae Ciucă, handed the designer Alexandru Ciucu, in appreciation, the honorary emblem of the 39, Defense Staff.
The creation of new military uniforms of city and service has taken into account all categories of military personnel and will encompass the entire range of military clothing items.
During the first months of 2019, the proposed models will be presented in the garrisons of the country, so that the soldiers, in their activity or in reserve, express their opinion in the form of questionnaires of evaluation. Then, the operational tests of the new models will be carried out in order to be able to equip the Romanian armed forces with the new military uniforms of city and service.
