Coffee could reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, according to a recent study by a team of researchers in Canada.
"Coffee consumption seems to be somewhat correlated with a decreased risk of developing Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease," said Dr. Donald Weaver, co-director of the Krembil Brain Institute at the Krembil Research Institute.
"But we wanted to study why this happens, what compounds are involved and what impact they have on the cognitive decline associated with aging," the researcher added.
