The law on the implementation of the Iasi-Târgu Mureş highway will be promulgated Friday by President Iohannis, in the presence of representatives of the two civic associations defending the highway, but also parliamentarians who initiated the project.
Dan Radu, representative of the association "Moldova wants a highway", told News.ro that President Klaus Iohannis would promulgate the law on the construction of the Iasi-Târgu Mures motorway on Friday afternoon and that a small ceremony will be organized on this occasion. in Cotroceni, writes News.ro.
"President Iohannis invited us to witness the signing of the law on the A8 Iasi-Targu Mures motorway, which will be a short ceremony to which the associations that defend the motorways in Moldova, but also the men, have been invited. policies that have initiated and supported the law. This is a form of recognition of our work over the past two years. We will not stop here, we will be watching next year's finance law, which should contain budget allocations to update the feasibility studies for the three segments of the A8 ", said Dan Radu.
For his part, Marius Bodea, Secretary General of the PNL, Secretary of the Committee on Transport and Infrastructure, believes that "the fact that President Klaus Iohannis organizes this event shows that the issue of the isolation of Moldova has become a national problem ".
"As the initiator of this law, I know very well what this investment looks like. This simply eliminates more than four million people in the area of isolation, gives them a good deal of money. hope for a decent life, helps all the layer of local entrepreneurs here and puts an end to the panic of the workforce that has reached quite alarming proportions in Moldova. After the promulgation of the law it is up to the government to take action, we will pay attention to the funds that will be allocated. The political decision was taken, it does not go halfway and with pompous declarations from the governors, "said liberal Marius Bodea.
The law on the construction of the Unirii highway, Iasi – Targu Mures, was adopted on 7 November by the Plenary Assembly of the Chamber of Deputies. The highway would be built from the state budget through the Ministry of Transport.
The bill was launched last May by a group of 71 MPs from all political parties, with the exception of ALDE.
The Ministry of Transport is designated as coordinator of the investment project. The period of execution would be four years from the entry into force of the law.
The initiators of the law criticize the delay of the government, which proposed that it is only in 2021 that the feasibility studies of this highway begin.
President Klaus Iohannis had a meeting with a delegation of "Moldova Wants Highway", "Together for A8" and "Pro Infrastructure" at the end of last month. He then said that despite the support of the European Commission and the availability of European funds, there was no governmental will in favor of the Târgu Mureş-Iaşi-Ungheni highway.
The representatives of the three associations then submitted to the President of Romania a memorandum on the motorways of Moldova, documenting the evolution of the actions of the civil society, the correspondence with the responsible authorities as well as historical, technical and economic questions. , geostrategic and social.
