President Klaus Iohannis arrived Wednesday at the Palace of Parliament, where a solemn meeting will be held celebrating the centenary of the Great Union. Klaus Iohannis was welcomed by Vice Presidents Alina Gorghiu and Georgian Pop. Heads of Parliament, Liviu Dragnea and Calin Popescu Tariceanu, refused to welcome him.

In Parliament, Iohannis handed over the leaders of PSD-ALDE, Liviu Dragnea and Calin Popescu Tariceanu, but not with Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă.

The solemn meeting of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, devoted to the celebration of the centenary of the Great Union, began on Wednesday around 2 pm, with the intonation of the Romanian national anthem.

At the solemn sitting, alongside Senators and Deputies, President Klaus Iohannis, Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă, and the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, Daniel, are present.

The event will also include representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Bucharest, as well as Romanian Crown Guard, Margareta.
