"Eleven people reported being hospitalized" with minor injuries, said a police press officer.

According to an AFP photographer on site, at least three of Ajax's supporters were injured after being hit by cops.

The Greek news website Proto Thema points out that Dutch fans have also caused incidents in central Athens before the match without recording injuries.

Ajax Amsterdam beat AEK Athens 2-0 with Dusan Tadic's double (68 – punishment and 72). The Dutch have qualified for the first time in the final of the Champions League for the 2005-2006 season.
