"We must stop this war between Romanians and Romanians"

The Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Liviu Dragnea, appealed for unity during the solemn session in Parliament devoted to the centenary. He also answered a question that journalists had asked him a few days ago: it is the greatest achievement of Romania in the last hundred years.

"As politicians, we have a duty to behave like real Romanians. We are politicians, it is true, in a permanent internal competition. It's natural, that's how democracy works. "Do not repeat what happened recently when Romanians in the European Parliament voted against Romania. This can not be justified. This is the strongest expression of our division. We must stop this war between Romanians and Romanians that we have been carrying out for too long outside the country and inside it.

I assure you that is not why the voters voted. I live in my country I live in Romania. We are ready to cooperate with everyone in the interest of the nation. I am convinced that many think the same way in all Romanian political groups and I invite everyone to build together a strategy for this country, "continued Dragnea.

Liviu Dragnea said that Romania's accession to the European Union and NATO was Romania's greatest achievement in the last century. He had refused to answer a question from journalists about it a few days ago.
