According to the Infotraffic Center of the General Inspectorate of Romanian Police, road traffic is diverted Wednesday from the direction of Constanta-Bucharest on the A2 motorway, due to poor weather conditions, including the accumulated snow on the road and the violent wind that breaks it, reducing visibility.
Thus, drivers must leave the highway at km 143, Feteşti, Ialomiţa County, DN 3B, then DN 3A, until Drajna Nouă, Călăraşi County, where they will enter again on the highway at kilometer 103.
The Infotraffic Center reports that there were several road events during the day during which different vehicles skidded because of the snow, but they were quickly removed from the back-up network, so that traffic is not affected.
The collisions were not casualties, but only material damage.
Police officers advise drivers not to leave without winter tires, to drive at low speeds, to use engine braking and to pay particular attention to all traffic maneuvers.
