For the first time since the launch of the new iPhone and rumors about their modest sales, an official at Apple made it clear that everything would go as planned.
In an interview with Cnet, Greg Joswiak, marketing manager for iPhone, said that "the iPhone XR is the most popular Apple smartphone the first day since it's available," questioning on sales of this model.
Joswiak is the first Apple manager to address the problem of new iPhone sales since their release. The intervention seems to be a way for Apple to counter the information that new models will not sell well.
Several sources argue that the iPhone XR, the so-called budget model costing from 5,500 lei in Romania, would sell below the expectations of American society.

Note that Joswiak clearly stated that sales reached a certain level and did not provide any concrete numbers after Apple decided not to make sales volume information publicly available.
The Apple executive said that only the iPhone XR was the best-selling model, which is quite normal given that it is also the most accessible of the three new models.
One might even think that Joswiak's escape would be an indirect confirmation of the fact that the information is so far real and that, in fact, the new iPhone is not selling with Apple's hopes.
The American company has pursued its strategy with very high prices after the success of last year. However, the iPhone X was a technological novelty at that time, while the XS and XS Max models this year bring only small updates.
