Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă announced Thursday that from 1 January 2019, allowances for invalids, veterans and widows of war would increase significantly and would increase on average nearly five times.

The Prime Minister announced that the average increase in compensation is almost five times higher. For example, people with the first degree of disability will receive a payment of 1,500 lei, against 259 lei today.
The allowance of 231 lei for people with a second degree of disability will increase to 1,000 lei and third-year invalids will receive an allowance of 900 lei, up from 196 lei currently.
