At today 's meeting, the government has approved an emergency order that significantly increases, starting January 1, 2019, the value of the compensation provided by Act no. 49/1991 for the disabled, veterans and widows of war, says Capital.

The order adopted provides for the increase of disability and disability benefits from 259 to 1,500 lei per month, for second-degree invalids from 231 to 1,000 lei per month, and for those of the second degree of disability. Grade III disability, from 196 lei to 900 lei per month.

In the case Veterans and widows of warif the latter does not remarry, the increase is 161 at 600 every month.

The measure of increase adopted by the government is a restorative measure, since these allowances are fixed, indexed according to the law, according to the rate of inflation, and their value is very low.

Currently, they are in Romania 7.027 war veteransincluding 103 war invalids, 389 widows of war and of 57,530 widows veterans, and to these people, the state and society have the moral duty to return with the gratitude due to them.
