Variants of PSD for amnesty and grace: GEO before Christmas or January / Carmen Dan would be willing to sign as an initiator – Politically

After eliminating his internal opponents, Dragnea wants to solve the problem of amnesty and pardon as quickly as possible. Last week, the issue was resumed in internal discussions within the PSD and new pressure is exerted on the Minister of Justice, Tudorel Toader, who is no longer part of the PSD sessions.

Social-Democratic sources told Hotnews.ro that more and more scenarios are being discussed internally and that a final decision will be made at an Executive Committee meeting.

The PSD leader asked Tudorel Toader earlier this week to resolve the issue and make the order by the end of the year. According to the sources cited, the publication of an EGO on amnesty and pardon is imminent, and the Social Democrats are only waiting to motivate the Constitutional Court of the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Penal Code to support his text.

Former Justice Minister Florin Iordache, assisted by Tudorel Toader, is the author of the text. A final decision would be made at the conclusion of a meeting of the PSD Executive Committee.

Before continuing, Dragnea will ask that the leadership of the PSD be officially supported and assumed on the issue. It should be noted that within the PSD, for more than two months, Interior Minister Carmen Dan has been able to sign her signature as the creator of a GEO on Amnesty and the sorry, but internal sources at the party claim up to that moment.

Regarding the period during which the GEO will be given, the Social Democrats take into account several scenarios. A first variant would be the week before Christmas.

A second option, according to Hotnews.ro sources, would be a postponement for January 2019. "There must be a CEX, most likely before Christmas, in which PSD leaders assume amnesty, grace and fashion It must also be announced or made public, "said the sources quoted.

It should be mentioned that ALDE's ruling partners still do not support a UGG on amnesty and pardon and do not want to be associated with a possible decision of the PSD to proceed with an amnesty and pardon.

Amnesty and pardon are very important for Liviu Dragnea, but also for many social democratic leaders. PSD Secretary General Codrin Ştefănescu said in a TV show in Romania that his party was "hunted down" and that 85 percent of the county's leaders and national leaders were in a form of investigation. "We have 1,183 mayors, deputy mayors and county councilors and municipalities in a form of investigation beginning with an abuse of service, ANI, DNA, etc.," said Ştefănescu.
