The surprises continue with regards to the Golden Bull winner.
The International Federation of History and Statistics of Football (IFFHS) has opened an investigation that revealed that Modric was the best footballer since 2018.
Experts from 90 countries were invited to give their opinion, and the Croatian surpassed important names such as Messi, Hazard, Neymar or Ronaldo.
Modric has accumulated no less than 272 points, while Messi is ranked second with 128.
The surprises come when we talk about Ronaldo or Mbappe. The first of them won the Champions League trophy for the third time in a row and only got 3 points, and the world champion with France, Mbappe, has 3 points.
The best goalkeeper in 2018 was elected Courtois with 181 points. The Belgian was followed by Lloris de Spurs and Buffon de PSG.
The Golden Ball must be named on December 3 in Paris.
