The BMW M Performance Parts concept is featured in the Frozen Black exterior finish with gold M Gold accents. Inside, Alcantara and carbon fiber accentuate the feeling of exclusivity with golden accents. BMW M GmbH has been closely involved in the creation of this most acclaimed design, contributing through its continued competence to the development of all M Performance accessories.
Fibers for reducing the mass index of an automobile
In addition to the already available M Performance accessories, the BMW M Performance Parts concept offers exclusive concepts. The result is a lower mass of the car and therefore dynamically optimized – and that applies to the circuit. The overall effect is achieved through a series of individual measurements where the use of carbon fiber plays a very important role. This high-tech material is extremely stable, but much easier than standard components.
Attractive, the M Performance Carbon Radiator grille (available for BMW M2 Competition in July 2018) – with a golden accent line on the concept – fits perfectly with the M Performance Carbon hood (available at from July 2018), the latter 8 kg lighter. The M Performance Carbon Fiber front panel (available from November 2018) reduces the weight of the car by 3 kg, thus optimizing aerodynamics. The front and side M Performance foldable carbon trims (both available now) offer a high-quality, individual look – exclusive gilt accents to the concept. The carbon fiber carbon fiber cover, with a visible carbon fiber finish (available in March 2019), reduces the weight of the car by 6 kg and significantly reduces the center of gravity. The set of complete swings, with 19 oval M Performance 19 oval wheels, with the Frozen Gold 763M Y-spoke model (available in July 2018) and semi-slip tires, not only provide a visual attraction, but even more easy with standard 6 kg wheels. This reduces unsustainable masses but also has a positive effect in terms of dynamics and direction
Components M Aerodynamic Performance of Carbon Fiber
The M Performance Carbon Fiber tailgate (available November 2018) offers an attractive back: 5 kg less than the standard component. The M Performance Carbon Fiber rear diffuser (available) contributes to a reduction of the mass of the car by 0.5 kg and to an aerodynamic optimization; the Concept wears a gold accent.
Carbon fiber, contrasting golden alcantara and golden creams define the interior
The optimization of the races is clearly visible in the interior: the carbon fiber and the Alcantara add refined sporting points of attraction to the BMW M Performance Parts Concept. The carbon fiber M Performance sports seats with contrasting golden gilding provide excellent support even during a very dynamic driving. The seats are covered with Alcantara and include a folding function for convenient rear access; they weigh 9 kg less than standard sports seats. Alcantara is a defining feature of the M Performance rear seats, which reduce the car's weight by an additional 13 kg. Beside the M laser logo, they have a golden contrast – like the driver's and front passenger's seats – and this detail is found in the same color and side decorations as for Alcantara and leather. In addition, the M Performance decorative finishes combine the two refined materials, carbon fiber and Alcantara.
At the same time, the M Performance Pro steering wheel (available), which has a golden counterpart, ensures a particular sportiness. The upper and lower parts are covered with leather. In the handling section, Alcantara provides excellent support, combined with a very good grip. The combination of carbon fiber and Alcantara is also found on the brake M.The carbon fiber carbon fiber Alcantara (available) – adorned with contrasting golden gold in the BMW M Performance Parts concept – as well as velvet carpet.
Performance suspension M with adjustable compression and locking steps
For a perfect road race, even on the circuit, the BMW M Performance Parts Concept is equipped with the M Performance suspension, already available as a retrofit kit for production cars. This coil spring suspension allows to lower the ground clearance up to 20 millimeters; Damping technology is independently adjustable in 12 different steps on compression and 16 steps on click. These owners give the M Performance suspension a very neutral driving experience with very little ride. To adapt to the exterior finish of the body, Concept's M Performance suspension springs are finished in black, as are the 18-oli turrets. Extra weight reduction of 14 kg is achieved using a lighter BMW battery
